Serving you and your pets during COVID-19

We at Occoquan Animal Hospital recognize our vital role in the community and are committed to doing our best to continue to serve you and your pets. In order to do that, we must stay healthy. All staff at Occoquan Animal Hospital are wearing face masks and all areas of the hospital are being sanitized regularly. It is essential that if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms relating to Covid-19, that you do not come to the office. If this applies to you, please reach out to us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Thank you for doing your part to help us better serve you.

As many of you are aware, we are now operating completely curbside. In order to abide by social distancing recommendations, all clients are unable to come inside the clinic at this time. If you are planning a visit, please wear a protective mask to help ensure the safety of other patrons and our staff. We are asking that clients call or text us at (703) 491-1400 to check in. If you are unable to call us, please knock at the front door. After checking in, please wait in your car and a technician will come to your vehicle to retrieve your pet when it is your turn in the line up. In order to streamline the process for all involved, please be ready to answer your phone when our doctors call you during your pet’s visit. While outside, please be mindful to keep 6 feet distance between other patrons and their pets as well.

Due to the constraints of operating curbside as well as an influx of new clientele, we have been experiencing longer wait times during our walk-in hours. Please know that once checked in, all staff members are working to be sure you and your pets are served as soon as possible. Thank you all for your patience and understanding during these times.

Continue practicing sanitary behaviors that have hopefully become commonplace, including washing hands after handling your pets. You and your pets are like family to us, and we wish only the best for everyone. As we may be asked to implement further restrictions, we thank you for your patience, and will do our best to keep you informed of changing protocols.  Be well,
